Return Home

After almost two weeks of being in Cambodia, it is so good to be home. The experience was wonderful and the exposure to a different culture was enlightening. We met new friends and we got to see old ones as well. Bill McDonough was our gracious host and has done a lot for the kingdom for over 40 years.

Bill McDonough is doing a great work in Cambodia. Partners In Progress is making a different in this country. They are digging water wells for a people that should have plenty of water but do not because of a two-year drought. He is making English lessons available to college students by teaching the Bible to them while they learn our language. The material from World English Institute is great. He is assisting the Phnom Penh congregation with assistance in their preaching school and the congregation as a whole. He is behind, but Sam Carpenter is the instrument in the building of an orphanage that will hold up to twenty orphans. Construction should begin shortly. He is having a boat built that will travel the Mekong River in Cambodia giving medical assistance that even the Cambodia government has not been able to reach. The boat will also have a mission of teaching the people about Jesus.

You can do something to assist. You can send money to Partners In Progress to assist in the orphanage, digging of wells, the boat or just to have the gospel taught to students who want to learn English. Go to http://partnersinprogress.org to get more information. Pray for this nation. Pray that they will receive the truth and it will make them free. Pray for Bill and his ministry, but support what they are doing. You can make a difference in the lives of these people.

Sid
