Bad Thinking

I was eating at one of our local cafes for breakfast and am always amazed at the thinking of people. Discussion centered around the local hospital's unbelieveable situation. Did the board violate an open door law? Why would we pay $165,000 for someone to run our hospital and hire four staff members for one year in an area that is not bubbling with economic growth? And there was a discussion from the employees of the cafe about a new waitress and her situation.

What shocks me is the numbness in which the discussions take place. There is no feeling or expectation to make things different. People just accept it. Oh! they may complain, but do something about it - never.

Maybe the whole world is that way, but I am not going to be a cynic. God can use, even people in this community, to do great things. That is why I am ministering here. I want to help make a change and show people God is powerful, but merciful. Pray for us.
